If you won the lottery, what’s the first thing you would do?
I would not quit my job, but I would take a year off my job to travel.

What do you do?
I’m a helicopter pilot.

Would you fly somewhere in your own helicopter?
Yeah, actually, maybe I’d buy a helicopter.

Where’s the first place you would go?
Good question. I’d probably go heads or tails, west or east, and just start going. I probably actually wouldn’t fly myself—I’d just buy one of those hop-on-hop-off plane tickets.

Where’s the best place you have ever traveled to?
I can’t answer that. Most places just kind of capture me. I spent a while in Southeast Asia, and I really loved it. Then, you spend time in the Mediterranean and it’s charming in its own way. And then Africa has its own thing as well.

Where are you from?
I’m from Montreal. This is my first time in New York.

And how did you get into flying?
The military. My older brother wanted to be a helicopter pilot, and I sort of followed him into it; but then he decided it wasn’t for him, and I just stuck with it.
